I got the Newelectronx 5 inch touch screen GPS a few months ago. It has 2010 maps preloaded into it, it’s a great tool for camping, hiking, etc.

GPS is basically a way of telling yourself where you are. The Newelectronx GPS is good for using it as a hiking GPS, a military GPS, etc. Most GPS’s work by receiving transmissions from the GPS Constellation. Essentially it is just an advanced form of radio triangulation that has been in use since the early part of the 20th century. The more satellites your receive from, the more accurate your position can be. I have both Garmin and Tom Tom and sorry to say that my Newelectronx GPS receives more satellites then both of them, which means i get a more accurate reading when I’m out hiking.

Make sure the GPS that you select to buy has FREE map updates so that you will have fresh data on your maps and you will never get Lost Again Whether You Are Driving or Just Hiking
