magellan gps?

i was on vacation and my gps system went haywire. I lost all of my data which was all of my previous destinations that I needed for my job. I had seen on CSI ( or a similar show) that one can get back all data from a gps system after its deleted, so i am asking anyone who has any idea HOW to get back the lost data to please email me at Bronxgirlcl@aol.com. I would be most appreciative.

If you are able to plug in your GPS device and your computer sees it as a disk you’re in luck.

Memory cards and flash memory that is built into devices like your GPS are no different than the storage mediums on your normal computer. You can use a variety of disk recovery programs or ‘undelete’ programs to recover your data.

You can find more information about GPS devices and how to use them at http://www.sourcegps.com
